The first course in our Cyber Security series, comprehensively introduces cloud computing, covering its key concepts, technologies, and deployment models. The course includes a minimum of 3 hours worth of reading material and references, designed to equip learners with a strong foundation in cloud computing and its real-world application.
Once you have completed this course you will be able to:
- define cloud computing and explain its historical development.
- identify and differentiate between the various cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models (public, private, hybrid, and community clouds).
- describe the key components of cloud architecture, including virtualization, data storage, and security.
- assess the advantages and potential drawbacks of adopting cloud computing for an organization and outline the factors to consider when selecting a cloud service provider.
